The social capital index is Republik's proprietary tool that enables organizations to achieve business success and create a positive effect on the environment and society. By completing a survey developed by our impact communication specialists, your company can evaluate the balance between your impact-related activities and your communications about them. The survey takes around twenty minutes to answer. After completion, you will be given a score that will assist you in creating social capital by improving the balance between your communications and your impact.

A balance is achieved between communication efforts and impact actions when the line between the circles is perfectly horizontal. The bigger the circles, the more relevant the various actions implemented.

1. Get a clear appraisal of your communication and impact efforts

The survey your company will take in order to receive a score is composed of two main sections, one on your impact and the other on your impact communications. You will therefore receive a separate result for each section as well as a final overall score. These different scores will allow our team of specialists to better determine what type of support would potentially help you improve.

2. Avoiding various forms of greenwashing

When your communication efforts outweigh the actual actions you are taking to create impact, the risk of greenwashing is very high. Which is exactly what we want your organization to avoid! Your social capital index is a first step towards rebalancing your work in this regard. It's a way of solidifying the underlying activities that support your communications.

Achieving the right balance between your impact and your communications about them allows you to strengthen your organization's relevance and credibility, in addition to ensuring greater long-term stability.
