Since 1980, Chlorophylle has been supplying outdoor enthusiasts in Quebec and across Canada with clothing and accessories inspired by our territories. To pass on its love of nature to its community, the Quebec-based company mandated Republik with its rebranding. With its sights set on becoming a world-renowned brand for its quality products and socio-environmental awareness, Chlorophylle needed to renew its brand image to better illustrate its mission and purpose: to help future generations continue to play outdoors.

Creation

Inspired by the sun, eternally rising or setting, in Chlorophylle’s iconic logo, our creative team designed a brand image to reflect the people who enjoy playing outside from morning to night. With graphic elements that are dynamic, nostalgic and touching, Chlorophylle has become an accomplice in the adventures of its fans, wherever they play. The typography, chosen from a Montreal foundry, takes up a lot of space in the various visuals to illustrate the place nature takes in our lives. The color palette, inspired by the brand’s logo, has been expanded to include other natural hues, reminiscent of the playgrounds that inspire the brand. In photography, the creative team put an emphasis on the pleasure of playing together, at any time and in any weather.

 

Brand copy supports the concept by evoking all the moments and places where we set off to enjoy nature… just as long as we’re together and have the right technical clothing! By showcasing a variety of places and activities, the copy can speak to a wide range of outdoor fans, whatever their personal experiences.

Impact

From the outset, Chlorophylle has been passionate about nature and Quebec’s vast playgrounds. Wishing to lend them to future generations, the brand has committed to a sustainable development approach in order to make conscientious choices in its production and overall operations. Although this first year has served to lay the foundations for its CSR approach, Chlorophylle aspires, in the years to come, to enhance its commitments by improving its social and environmental practices. With this new brand image, Republik has enabled Chlorophylle to better reflect its social and environmental commitments and honor its Quebec roots.
