Art Direction - Branding

Republik is looking for an Art Direction & Branding specialist to help create a range of brand platforms for innovative clients who are genuinely looking to have a positive impact on the environment and society. You will work for clients in industries such as food, second-hand retail, health-tech, arts and culture, and more. Your roll will be to translate brand stories into striking visuals adapted to a variety of platforms, mainly digital. You'll be part of the creative team and work under the supervision of the Creative Director and Associate Creative Director.

Alright, so what's the job?

The job is to change the world through the Creation of Social Capital™. But if you want us to be more precise, here’s a list of tasks you’ll have to do in your day-to-day:

  • Explore how brands are built from the ground up and help conceive and develop compelling visual identities that are rooted in strategy and that address our clients' business needs.
  • Collaborate with a Copywriter to generate impactful ideas and foster them through production.
  • Assist and collaborate with the Associate Creative Director on branding projects to create everything from modern brand platforms to 360 campaigns.
  • Actively contribute to and oversee key steps in the process of developing a brand’s visual identity - from creative intentions to final asset revisions and delivery.
  • Collaborate with the content and production teams to develop art direction for brand imagery.
  • Collaborate with the strategy team to ensure that your work is aligned with the brand positioning and brief.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the creative team.

  • You have relevant experience art directing across multiple mediums (social, digital, etc.)
  • You're a visual communicator. You have an eye for design and the skills to execute your vision.
  • You have developed impactful 360 brand platforms and awareness campaigns for local and national brands.
  • You love to imagine and build visual platforms for responsible companies.
  • You're proactive and enjoy creative problem-solving.
  • You can manage your time and meet deadlines, and no design challenge is too big or small.
  • You're culturally curious curious, staying on the pulse of emerging technology, art forms, and entertainment.
  • You're highly collaborative, organized, and kind. In other words, you’re a team player with no ego.
  • You meet challenges with a sense of possibility and openness.
  • You're hungry to learn and try new things, both in terms of your own skill set and ideas we bring to clients.
  • You have extensive knowledge of Adobe Suite.
  • You can communicate in French, English, or both.
